Ayurveda and Ayurvedic Therapies

Ayurveda is India’s natural science of healing. It was established at the same time as the original systems of yoga and meditation and has been in practice since before 5000 BC.Based on a holistic approach to natural health using effective herbs and therapies to correct any imbalance within the body. This ancient practice has spread worldwide as an innovative and comprehensive system on how one can gain balance of body and mind. Ayurveda promotes natural remedies by applying a correct diet, herbal supplements and lifestyle. It deals with every aspect of human life including daily and seasonal routine, prevention of diseases and natural treatments. It focuses on correcting the root cause of the disease rather than correcting symptoms.

Beginner’s Kanga Yoga

The process facilitates deep emotional cleansing by releasing blocked energy, old emotions and lifetime patterns of fear and negative thinking. The style is designed to aid in mobility, agility, flexibility and strength while returning to the tradition of self inquiry.

Hatha Yoga means “union through discipline of force”, and emphasises mastery of the body as a way of attaining a state of spiritual perfection in which the mind is withdrawn from external objects. Kirtan

Most of the time our individual minds are separate from each other, we each have separate opinions and thoughts. But when we sing and dance together, we are one – Chanting ancient sanskrit mantras, kirtan, satsang and meditation brings our minds into the same vibration and connects us to the source.

Meditation

Using breathwork and Self-inquiry techniques, these sessions will involve a direct transmission of Oneness, that heal the body, transform emotional, genetic and karmic patterns, transmuting the areas of our body’s energy system where we experience ourselves as a separate being, awakening you to your True Self. We are entering a new paradigm, where we are given the opportunity to clear, reset, and align ourselves to our inner Divinity. Everyday, when we can open and surrender to what is, we awaken to our own Truth through life and our relationships, and we can begin embodying the manifestation of Love in this world. The practices that I offer are an exploration of Consciousness to be used in a meditative, contemplative way. To expand beyond our own perceived separation and awaken to our True Nature.

MUM & BABY YOGA:

In this class, explore the breath to increase calm and confidence, strengthen and tone muscles, especially abdominal, pelvic floor and pelvis, as well as easing stiffness around neck, shoulders and back. Your baby will enjoy some massage and yoga moves to encourage the development of their reflex, increase their awareness of their surroundings. Often your baby will just love watching their mummy moving. Please check with your Doctor or midwife before starting any physical exercise. Please ensure you have waited the following period before starting this class:

Sudarshan Kriya is a powerful and transformational breathing technique that incorporates specific natural rhythms of the breath which harmonise the body, mind and emotions. This unique breathing technique eliminates stress, fatigue and negative emotions such as anger, frustration and depression, leaving you calm yet energised, focused yet relaxed.

Just as there are rhythms in nature – day and night, season after season, similarly, there is a rhythm in the body, mind and emotions. When these rhythms get disturbed, say due to over-working, food habits or busy lifestyle, we feel stressed, discomfort or get an illness. Sudarshan Kriya harmonises the whole system by cleansing our accumulated stresses.

Vortex Healing

A profound and powerful way to work with both individuals and groups. Especially in this time where isolation seems the norm, with Vortex we can connect, settle and balance our systems, boost our immunity to strengthen our bodies and feel able to meet these challenging times with a sense of purpose. During the class you will receive the healing while lying down or meditating. I will be assisted by my partner Simona to increase the potency of the healing for these unusual times.

VortexHealing® Group Meditations

VortexHealing® is a holistic system of energetic healing that channels divine light and consciousness to heal the body, transform emotional and karmic patterns, and awaken us to our True Self. In this healing session you will receive an energetic upgrade as we move through different areas of holding and conditioning right down to the cellular physical, genetic, and karmic level of where the issue (tension pattern) is held. This will benefit your energy & nervous system, nadi system, meridian and energy pathways providing your system with a deep, profound release with transformative results. This type of energy healing is supportive in cases of anxiety, depression, post-surgical recovery, and ongoing medical treatment, such as chemotherapy.

Yin & Restorative Flow

In these sessions we will move collectively through a series of long-held floor poses to work the lower part of the body – the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. The style of this class will encourage each individual to tune into their own bodies and access the biological intelligence that lies within, opening ourselves to expand and stretch through listening, rather than doing. This will be a space for your body to find deep relaxation and to still the mind through a combination of movement, breathing, and grounding techniques.

Yin Yoga

This slow, quiet style offers a place of refuge in the middle of busy week. A sanctuary and safe space to fully relax is essential for our physical and mental wellbeing. Here, as we gently nurture and tend to raw, tight, or tender parts of our bodies, we journey through the tissues and sensations to a place of greater physical ease, lightness and freedom. We rinse away emotional debris and stagnant thoughts, creating space for inspiration, brightness and joy. Our flexibility benefits greatly, but mostly, we’re learning how to simply be.

QiGong

With roots in Chinese medicine, philosophy, and martial arts, qigong is traditionally viewed as a practice to cultivate and balance qi (chi), translated as “life energy”. Qigong practice typically involves moving meditation, coordinating slow flowing movement, deep rhythmic breathing, and calm meditative state of mind.
