JIVAMUKTI SPECIAL: HELD BY WHAT WE HOLD WITH BETTINA BACHMANN

SUNDAY 17TH MAY, 9:00 – 10:30 AM | 2,500

In this special class, we will explore the Jivamukti Focus of the Month, “Held by What We Hold: The Wisdom of Tara”, inspired by the compassionate and protective presence of Tara, a symbol of wisdom, guidance, and fearless care. Together, we will approach the asana practice with steadiness and quiet awareness, recognising that what we choose to hold, in body, mind, and heart, shapes our experience. Through mindful movement and intentional breath, we create space to feel supported from within, cultivating a sense of trust, clarity, and inner grounding. Rather than striving towards a fixed outcome, we will honour each posture as an opportunity to listen, soften, and strengthen with awareness. In doing so, we allow wisdom to emerge through presence, balance, and attentive care. This Jivamukti Special class weaves together the five tenets of Jivamukti: ahimsa (non-violence), bhakti (devotion), dhyana (meditation), nada (music), and shastra (scripture), while also incorporating the fourteen points of a Jivamukti Open class.

ABOUT BETTINA BACHMANN:
Yoga is the magic of bringing it all together! In her teachings, Bettina loves to share her experiences and weave in pranayama, meditation, and yoga philosophy. The mat acts like a refuge in our daily obligations where we can experience new things and consciously bring breath, body, and mind together. Eventually, calmness and inner freedom arise. Bettina is happy, when her students step off the mat with a positive feeling of kindness towards themselves and others – when compassion expands into the daily live, allowing changes to occur. On her Yoga path, Bettina fell in love with the dynamic and energetic, but also philosophic and playful Jivamukti method some years ago. She enjoys diving deeper into magic by currently studying the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and learning more about Pranayama. Bettina loves staying curious, keep on exploring, and going further.

EARLY BIRD (LIMITED) 6,000 | STANDARD 6,500 | KANGA COMMUNITY (KANGA STUDENTS ONLY) 5,500

We are excited to host the very first The Sunday Series, a collaboration between Kanga Studio Nairobi and Grove & Meadow. This morning is about stepping away from the noise and finding a bit of headspace through movement, good food, and community.

We invite you into a carefully curated Sunday, a space to step away from the pace of daily life and return to something slower, more grounded, and deeply nourishing. Set within the lush gardens of Kanga Studio Nairobi, the morning begins with a gentle arrival. You are welcomed with refreshing live shrub tonic drinks by Grove & Meadow – vibrant, vinegared elixirs designed to awaken the senses, while soft ambient music carries through the space and the community gathers.

From here, you are guided inward. Emma Bonnici leads a grounding practice of asana, breathwork, and deep relaxation to reconnect you to your body, your breath, your true nature. We then move outdoors, returning to the earth. With silent headsets, you are invited into a unique soil meditation – listening deeply to the subtle, living soundscape beneath us by Grove & Meadow. The morning continues with a shared table. A thoughtfully prepared plant-based brunch is served in the gardens, abundant, seasonal, and designed to nourish. Expect a selection of breads and spreads, savoury dishes, and sweet elements, all predominantly gluten-free and crafted with care by Grove & Meadow.

To close, we gather for a gentle conversation led by Grove Meadow, an invitation to reflect, connect, and carry the experience forward. This is a space for community, for presence, and for returning, to yourself and to each other.

Come as you are.

Beyond in-home care, Nurture Nest also creates spaces for learning and connection through prenatal preparation sessions, postpartum education, and community events that bring parents together. At its heart, Nurture Nest is about ensuring that no mother has to navigate the fourth trimester alone.
