EVENING KANGA YOGA AT THE SOCIAL HOUSE
TUESDAYS 6:45–7:45 PM | 2,000
Kanga Yoga is an energetic, alignment-based flow practice that offers a devotional journey through breath, sound, and movement to awaken the body and mind. Inspired by the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar, Swami Sivananda, and Yogacharya Sri Krishna Pattabhi Jois, Kanga Yoga emphasises precise alignment, music, and breath to help explore the intricacies of one’s being. Each class adapts to the unique needs of its students, embracing diverse body types and energies. Through this personalised approach, students can discover balance and well-being. As postures are held with unwavering precision, discomfort fades, the mind finds ease, and energy channels are opened, igniting a vibrant flow within. Rooted in the principles of Ayurveda, Kanga Yoga nurtures wellbeing by helping students maintain balance in their physical and mental energy, supporting their overall health. Kanga Yoga brings the body and mind into balance, preparing practitioners to transcend the physical, connect with their spirit, and embrace the radiant source within.

SOFT ORGANS: THE HEAD BREATH WITH JEAN SANGALE
SATURDAY 25TH JULY, 3:00–4:30 PM | 2,500
Our thoughts shape our experience, but how often do we stop and notice the space from which they arise?
This month we explore the head: the brain, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and the extraordinary sensory world through which we perceive ourselves and reality.
Together we will investigate:
– Mental clarity and overwhelm
– Focus, attention and distraction
– The relationship between breath and the nervous system
– How we process information through the senses
– Inner dialogue, imagination and memory
– Rest, spaciousness and presence
Through guided breathing, gentle movement, sound, acupressure points and deep relaxation, we will explore how to release mental tension and create more space, clarity and ease. Just as the eyes receive light and the ears receive sound, the breath can help us receive life more fully. Come and discover what happens when the mind softens and awareness expands.
No previous breathwork experience required.
