EVENING KANGA YOGA AT THE SOCIAL HOUSE
TUESDAYS FROM 6:45 PM | 2,000
Kanga Yoga is an energetic, alignment-based flow practice that offers a devotional journey through breath, sound, and movement to awaken the body and mind. Inspired by the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar, Swami Sivananda, and Yogacharya Sri Krishna Pattabhi Jois, Kanga Yoga emphasises precise alignment, music, and breath to help explore the intricacies of one’s being. Each class adapts to the unique needs of its students, embracing diverse body types and energies. Through this personalised approach, students can discover balance and well-being. As postures are held with unwavering precision, discomfort fades, the mind finds ease, and energy channels are opened, igniting a vibrant flow within. Rooted in the principles of Ayurveda, Kanga Yoga nurtures wellbeing by helping students maintain balance in their physical and mental energy, supporting their overall health. Kanga Yoga brings the body and mind into balance, preparing practitioners to transcend the physical, connect with their spirit, and embrace the radiant source within.

SOFT ORGANS: THE HEAD BREATH WITH JEAN SANGALE
SATURDAY 25TH JULY, 3:00–4:30 PM | 2,500
Our thoughts shape our experience, but how often do we stop and notice the space from which they arise?
This month we explore the head: the brain, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and the extraordinary sensory world through which we perceive ourselves and reality.
Together we will investigate:
– Mental clarity and overwhelm
– Focus, attention and distraction
– The relationship between breath and the nervous system
– How we process information through the senses
– Inner dialogue, imagination and memory
– Rest, spaciousness and presence
Through guided breathing, gentle movement, sound, acupressure points and deep relaxation, we will explore how to release mental tension and create more space, clarity and ease. Just as the eyes receive light and the ears receive sound, the breath can help us receive life more fully. Come and discover what happens when the mind softens and awareness expands.
No previous breathwork experience required.

PAWS & POSES: PUPPY YOGA FOR A CAUSE WITH PAWMOJA & KANGA WELLBEING
TUESDAY 28TH JULY, 5:45 – 7:30 PM | 3,000
Join us for our next Poses with Paws session and become part of a community making a real difference for animal welfare in Nairobi. Our first Puppy Yoga session raised Kenyan Shillings 187,000 for Pawmoja, helping them respond to a critical situation involving multiple dogs and cats in the community. With this support, Pawmoja was able to rescue some of the most vulnerable animals, including a severely malnourished mother dog, her puppies, and young kittens, and provide the urgent care they desperately needed. Our second Puppy Yoga session raised an additional Kenyan Shillings 51,000, allowing Pawmoja to continue their lifesaving work and provide ongoing care for animals in need. The next phase of support includes spaying, neutering, vaccinating, and returning adult animals where appropriate, alongside continued assistance for the caregiver to help create a safer and more sustainable environment. By joining our next Puppy Yoga session, you are helping to make this vital work possible and supporting Pawmoja as they continue responding to cases like these across Nairobi. The puppies joining us are not from this recent rescue. They come from similar situations and have since been cared for, vaccinated, and are now healthy, playful, and ready to find their forever homes. This session will also feature a new breed of young puppies, making it an extra special experience. Spaces are limited, so book yours today. Please note that the minimum age requirement is 10 years. Every stretch, every smile, and every booking helps give more animals a second chance. We cannot wait to welcome you.
ABOUT PAWMOJA:
A movement to transform the lives of animals and the people that care for them in Kibera, Nairobi, and beyond, through partnership, collective action, and compassion.

Nurture Nest is a maternal wellness company based in Nairobi, dedicated to supporting women through the often-overlooked postpartum period, also known as the fourth trimester. Founded on the belief that mothers deserve just as much care and attention as their newborns, Nurture Nest exists to help restore the “village” around the modern mother. We provide compassionate, professional support to families during the early weeks after birth through services such as overnight newborn care, postpartum recovery guidance, lactation support, and practical education for new parents. Our goal is to help mothers recover physically, adjust emotionally, and transition into motherhood with greater confidence and rest. Beyond in-home care, Nurture Nest also creates spaces for learning and connection through prenatal preparation sessions, postpartum education, and community events that bring parents together. At its heart, Nurture Nest is about ensuring that no mother has to navigate the fourth trimester alone. By combining evidence-based care with empathy and respect for each family’s unique journey, we aim to raise the standard of postpartum support for families across Kenya.
