Melina Moors
For Melina, practising yoga means embarking on a colorful, multidimensional path of personal change and growth.
When Melina took up Yoga in 2015, upon the praise of a friend, she was only looking for a new form of exercise. Being a lover of movement and dance, she had been struggling with her career in tourism, which required her to work in a seated position from a desk for most of the waking hours. She soon realised that yoga was about so much more than just fitness.
Once her practise became more established in 2019, it triggered a series of drastic changes in her life, in ways she had never imagined. She grew stronger, braver and brighter, and finally felt ready to face some difficult truths.
Fascinated with the ripple effects of yoga, she yearned to go deeper and look into possibilities how to share the magic with others. So she completed her 200-hour Kanga Yoga training in 2020, and ever since, found great joy in teaching – mostly at the marvellous Watamu Treehouse on the Kenyan Coast, but also online. She recently shifted back to Nairobi and is now looking forward to sharing her passion for yoga in the capital.
